The name of the chemical is Nitric acid (HNO3) is an important inorganic acid. Jabir bin Hayyan (Geber) called it aqua fortis (strong water).Nitric acid (HNO3) is a very corrosive and toxic acid that can cause burns.
Colored when pure, long-stored samples tend to be yellow because of the accumulation of nitrogen oxides.Nitric acid (HNO3) dissolves in water in all comparisons, forming hydrates at low temperatures. Nitric acid (HNO3) is a common laboratory reagent and important industrial commodity.
It is mainly used in making ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) for fertilizer.
Besides Nitric acid (HNO3) is also used for nitrocotton or guncotton, plastic, and coloring.

Aqua regia (Latin for "king's water") is one of the chemicals made by ancient scientists. This material is a very corrosive yellow or red solution.
The mixture is formed by mixing concentrated Nitric Acid and Hydrochloric Acid, usually in a volumetric ratio of one to three.
Aqua regia This can dissolve gold and platinum, called royal, or precious metals, hence the name "king's water."

The effectiveness of Aqua Regia is partly a solvent, due to the presence of both chlorine and nitrosyl chloride.
Aqua Regia is used in certain etchings and analytical processes, and in the laboratory to clean glass of organic compounds and metals.
